Giant uterine leiomyoma refers to a fibromatous mass weighing >11.350 kg (25 lb). Of the few cases reported in the literature is a recent finding of giant uterine leiomyoma in a 16-year-old girl described by Graspa in 2006. This article describes the case of a 53-year-old woman who presented with weight loss, dyspnea, constipation, lower limb edema, back pain and pain in the lower limbs, associated with appreciable abdominal enlargement. Total laparohysterectomy and bilateral adnexiectomy were performed. A mass weighing 12.005 kg was removed. Histopathologic diagnosis was giant uterine leiomyoma.
