Dermoid cyst is the most frequent benign ovarian tumor. During the laparoscopic approach it’s possible the rupture with consequences like a chemical peritonitis. It happens rarely, but could be difficult to treat it. We here refer about a patient suffering of chemical peritonitis after laparoscopic treatment for a dermoid cyst. She was operated on it with a laparotomic approach twice, trying to solve completely the problems due to intra-abdominal adhesions and abscesses coming from the liquid diffusion. We will focus on the laparoscopic treatment, that has to be accurated and precise, to avoid the rupture of the cyst and, obviously, observing all rules to do that.
