A case of gastric adenocarcinoma during pregnancy, diagnosed at an advanced stage because the symptoms were attributed to pregnancy, is reported. A 28-year-old woman, who suffered from persistent nausea and vomiting early in the 1st trimester, was operated on in the 16th gestational week and a poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma was found. The patient delivered vaginally a healthy infant at the 35th week of pregnancy but she died 4 months after delivery.
