In hemophilic patients there are very frequent bleeding events at the musculoskeletal system, such as hemarthrosis, muscular hematoma, hemophilic pseudotumour. According to the seriousness of symptoms, localization of damage, age and clinical history, always in association with replacement therapy, the treatment may be conservative (immobilization) or surgical (synoviectomy, arthroplasty, surgical removal). At any rate, rehabilitation may improve the outcome in hemophilic patients, by reducing functional impairment, mantaining muscular strenght and joints mobility, avoiding postural imbalance, providing uncorrectable damages with suitable orthesis. The successful management of hemophilic patients depends upon the establishment of a multidisciplinary care, including the services of hematology, orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation.
