Maria MARIANO, Emanuela CARADONNA, Norma CAMELI

PDF

Several antineoplastic drugs are able to induce a variety of inflammatory and distrophic nail disorders. Nail disorders in the oncological patient include alterations of the nail plate, nail bed and perionichio. Nails can show surface, shape, color and texture changes. Knowing how to recognize nail pathology, accurately identifying causative agents, administering appropriate treatment, and educating about prevention, are increasingly important aspects of everyday practice in the dermatological management of the oncologic patient.
