The erosive pustolar dermatosis of the scalp (EPDS) is a rare disease, mainly affecting the elderly. The pathogenesis is currently unknown, but it might be provoked by traumatic factors of different origin (direct, surgical, pharmacological). In some studies, mycotic infection has been shown to represent an aggravating circumstance of the disease. We report two cases of EPDS, in which mycotic infection played a role in the disease.
