BACKGROUND: A cutaneous lesion of the face not infrequently may be located on the border between two aesthetic subunits. In such case the simple surgical excision of the lesion or the A-T flaps may not be aesthetically satisfactory.
OBJECTIVE: We describe 3 cases in which we successfully used a tricorn plastic technique to repair surgical defects located on the border between two aesthetic subunits and Langer lines. METHOD: Three surgeries were performed under local anesthesia.
RESULTS: In the three patients the scars were successfully concealed and the results were aesthetically good.
CONCLUSION: The technique described can be used to conceal scars in cases of dermatological surgery in particular cosmetic subunits of the face, characterized by Langer lines intersection, where a good aesthetic results is essential.
