A 29-year-old woman developed macules and papulo-pustules on the lower limbs three years after she had undergone a jejuno-ileal bypass for severe obesity. The diagnosis of jejuno-ileal bypass syndrome was done and no therapy was prescribed; the dermatitis had spontaneously disappeared when the patient was finally seen in 1999. This patient, first observed in 1993, may be the last case of such disease; in fact jejuno-ileal bypass surgery for morbid obesity has been no longer performed since the eighties but occasionally by some Italian surgeons.
