Lichen pigmentosus is, in the complex group of idiopathic eruptive melanoderma, a nosological entity of recent, still uncertain classification. It is characterized by pigmentary cutaneous lesions associated with typical lichenoid papules. The case of a man aged 40 is reported as well as a concise review of the literature, and the possible etiopathogenetic factors are discussed.
