A 64-year-old woman presented with a number of non follicular, non confluent, asymptomatic, whitish papules located on the posterior and lateral part of the neck. Histology showed thickened collagen bundles in the mid dermis. Weigert stain revealed absence of elastic fibers in the papillary dermis and their fragmentation in the superficial reticular dermis. Clinical features, pathology and nosology of white fibrous papulosis of the neck, probably an underextimated condition, are discussed.
