“Gloves and socks” syndrome. A case report

The case of a 44-year-old woman affected by an erythematous purpuric papular eruption on palms and soles and pubis and enanthema with erosions of the hard and soft palate is presented. The dermatosis preceded by fever, fatigue and knee arthralgias, is associated with hyperpyrexia and bilateral inguinal and laterocervical lymphadenopathies. Serodiagnosis shows high level of human parvovirus B19 specific IgM antibodies. The dermatosis resolves spontaneously within ten days.
