Calcified anomalous systemic arterial supply to the basal segment of the lung

We report a case of a 64-year-old woman with rare calcified anomalous systemic arterial supply to the basal segments of the left lung. Chest computed tomography showed an atelectasis of left lower lobe and an anomalous artery with calcification. The patient underwent a complete thoracoscopic left lower lobectomy. The calcified anomalous artery was clamped at central side to avoid calcifications, and divided with stapler at peripheral side under thoracoscopy. Pathologically, atherosclerotic changes and intimal calcification were shown in the wall of the artery.
