Duodenal diverticulitis is an uncommon entity and its diagnosis is often challenging. Though rare, perforation is the most feared complication. Treatment is either conservative or surgical. Here we report the case of an 80-year-old woman who underwent emergency surgery at our unit for perforated duodenal diverticulum. A short review of the literature is given.
