In the last years, with the development of new procedures, therapeutic endoscopy can play an increased role in the management of postsurgical complications. On the basis of currently available literature we review the main endoscopic technique used for the treatment of anastomotic leaks and stricture after gastrointestinal surgery. The best endoscopic approach is essentially based on the features and location of the lesions to be treated, on the availability of different technique and on the physician’s experience and preference.
