A rare case of primary adenocarcinoma of the duodenum

The authors report a case of primary adenocarcinoma of the duodenum, in a 70-years-old, with a history of three months of abdominal pain, vomiting, and a recent episode of melena. Endoscopy revealed an ulcer of the duodenum, biopsy of the lesion was diagnosed as moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. A CT scan showed a thickening of the duodenal wall, para-vascular lynphonode. The patient was subjected to pancreaticoduodenectomy.
