Excellent myocardial protection during an unexpected prolonged cross-clamp time

This following case report presented a double (mitral and aortic) valve replacement patient who had an extremely long-term bypass (576 min) and cross-clamp (507 min) time due to unexpected surgical dealings during the operation, but still got excellent myocardial protection using strategic combined cardioplegia delivery methods.
