Strangulation ileus caused by an abnormal adhesion of the great omentum. A case report

We report on a patient who had mechanical ileus caused by encasement of an intestinal loop from an abnormal adhesion of the great omentum. He had not underwent another operation in the abdomen in the past and the postoperative period was uneventful. This situation is very rare, since one similar case has been reported previously.
