Malignant Struma ovarii is a rare form of ovarian germ cell tumors. Because of its rarity, diagnosis and management of this tumor has not been clearly defined; more data are needed to determine the prognosis and management in preferring mode of therapy. A 58-year-old woman with papillary carcinoma arising in Struma ovarii witch involved one ovary (the right) without dissemination is presented. Total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy were performed. Histopatholo-gical examination revealed malignant Struma ovarii of the papillary type.
