We report the case of a 38-year old man, with a retroperitoneal seminoma associated with burned out phenomenon. This is a rare entity associated with several histopathologic lesions that seem to be expression of a previous testicular neoplasia in a complete regression stage. We discuss issues related to the diagnosis and management of this condition.
