Congenital aneurysm of the left ventricle in an adult. A rare entity

Congenital left ventricular aneurysms in adults are rare and difficult to differentiate from diverticula. We report on the unusaul case of a 69-year old patient with recurrent chest pain which was not caused by the probable diagnosis of coronary artery disease but by a congenital left ventricular aneurysm and discuss the decision making for a surgical therapy.
