Primary mucinous cystoadenoma of the appendix is a rare neoplasia belonging to mucosecreting tumours of the appendix. Aspecific symptomatology and poor knowledge of the radiologic findings are the reason of pre-operatorive misdiagnosis. A case of primary mucinous cystoadenoma of the appendix, in which a correct preoperative radiologic evaluation has been important for surgical planning, is reported.
