PDF

Aim. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects after 7 years of a new surgical technique.
Methods. Between March 1995 and December 1999, 42 patients and 47 legs were treated with our surgical technique. Mean follow-up was 69 months. All the patients were evaluated, before surgery, with clinical examinations and duplex scan.
Results. The clinical success rate after surgery was 59.5%.
Conclusion. We conclude that the procedure, in selected subjects, may be an alternative for other surgical methods, in the treatment of post-thrombotic deep venous reflux disease.
