PDF

Personal experience about a rare case of Merkel cell tumour of the skin in a patient with a previous resected bladder cancer observed at the Second Surgical Clinic of the Second University of Naples is reported. This case report shows the particular aggressiveness and the rapid loco-regional and systemic spreading of this tumour. On the basis of a literature survey the high aggressiveness of this kind of tumour is confirmed and it is also underlined that, despite the surgical, chemotherapeutic and radiotherapeutic combined approach, an unfavourable outcome often occurs.
