The reconstruction of the upper jaw in maxillofacial oncologic surgery involves, as compared to the mandibular, greater difficulty due to the numerous structures which make up this region, its three-dimensional aspect, and the problems of a functional and esthetic nature. The authors report the various techniques of reconstructive surgery involving the upper jaw examining, in particular, the advantages and disadvantages of each procedure.
