The ­authors ­report a ­case of extra­cra­nial ­internal ­carotid ­artery aneu­rysm ­with resec­tion of aneu­rysm and ­bridging a ­defect by ­using the ­external ­carotid ­artery ­after liga­tion of its ­distal end. ­This tech­nique pro­poses to pre­vent neo­in­timal hyper­plasia and anas­to­motic sten­osis.
