Methods. There were evaluated 4 clinical cases treated with FREMS™, showing different etiology (2 diabetic ulcers, 2 arterial ulcers). Patients were treated with 10 sessions (1 cycle ) of FREMS™, repeated until ulcer healing. No advanced dressing were utilized during this clinical evaluation.
Results. The mean cycles number to obtain healing was 3.5. Each patient has shown a good compliance for the treatment and there were no registration of side effects.
Conclusion. The data obtained represent a starting point for evaluating the use of FREMS™ in the treatment of chronic ulcers, even without the help of other advanced dressing. FREMS™ treatment was well tolerated by patients and when pain was present FREMS™ was able to reduce it in short time.
