Hbo therapy is pure oxygen intermittent respiration in special room named hyperbaric chamber because of their higher pressure then normal one. No healing ulcers are lesions without or less tendancy to responde to medical or surgical treatment because of local reasons (size, local infection or hypossia) or sistemic reasons (anemia, vascular insufficiency, metabolic or immunoligic diseases) that avoid healing. External and internal oxygen tension of ulcers is often less than 20 mmHg. This rationale has permitted, in the past, to use this special therapy in preparation or resolution of chronic ulcers. We present recent guide-lines in this field.
